Key West is approximately 130 miles from
Miami, FL and is accessible on Route 1 (Overseas Highway)
from Florida City. The drive down the Keys is beautiful
and there are many attractions, shops and restaurants along
the way, not to mention a beautiful view of our azure blue
waters. The Florida Keys are connected by bridges and causeways
and each Key, or island, is very different from the next.
Car rentals are available at all major airports
including Key West. If you are staying in the downtown area
of Key West you may be better off not renting a car as parking
is limited. We offer bike rentals and there are scooter rental
agencies near our office on Duval Street. Biking
around Key West is a great way to get to know the island more intimately
and find out what makes this tropical island so special.
If you wish to explore the Lower Keys and see some of the
beautiful beaches and attractions we suggest renting a vehicle
to do so.
Taxis and shuttles are available from the
airport in Key West to major hotels, guesthouses and our
vacation rentals. Key West is only 2 miles by 4 miles so
your cab ride is not very long.
