Snorkeling and diving on North America's only living reef is very visually rewarding. Trips from Key West to snorkel and dive run in the morning, afternoon, sunset, and there are night dives available. The reef is teeming with sea life. There are plenty of diving and snorkel areas so the reef is not overcrowded. There are a few great wrecks off Key West worth diving too!

Snorkeling charters are offered on many styles of boat. Catamarans are very popular because of their stability and ability to carry many passengers. They provide drinks and a snack bar as well as bathroom facilities onboard.

Diving charters run twice a day and a few times a week may offer night dives. Normally the dive will be a 2 tank dive, one on a wreck and then one reef dive. Some dives offered do both dives as reef dives. Certification is available in a 2-3 day course. Advanced dive certification is also available with certain dive shops. Specialty dive trips to destinations in the Gulf of Mexico and Dry Tortugas are also available.

Some companies offer a Snorkel / Sunset Combo trip. It costs a little more money but give you a great afternoon snorkel trip and then a ride back with a grand view of our famous sunset in Key West. Some trips do offer alcoholic beverage service.
